Instagram selling photo mistake a lesson to be learnt
Instagram a free online photo sharing network, which is owned by Facebook at the cost of $1 billion is in trouble as the people are calling it, but according to instagram informers its not.
Monetizing the website is common, but its supposed to have its limits, but Instagram completely ignored the facts and pushed the red button.So the thing that was supposed to happen happened, it faced the huge backlash for the policy they were going to follow in the coming days.
The policy was to sell photos of the users without their compensation.
Users found this policy horrible and thus for stopping backlash , instagram reverted its policy about photos, but the damage was done, traffic was dropped it may go back to normal but still silly mistake matters.Some users called this policy a “suicide”.
Difference between Youtube and instagram
OK Youtube is used for video and instagram is used for photos, but what youtube does is it will never display ads along or on the videos without the permission of uploader, its user decision to have its Google adsense to be displayed, the revenue is shared b/w youtube and user, the fact is youtube is providing the hard disk and user is uploading content , Aka give and take.
Ultimately for Instagram it was a contract wanna make it so make it, don’t want to so howdy howdy it was like that until the pressure of backlash.
No one would want their work to be sold just like that, other than that there are personal photos of users, selling personal photos can you imagine this.
Whats happening with instagram right now
According to Appdata, a website which gives accurate metrics of Apps, the result shows Monthly and weekly visitors are increasing but the daily visitors have fallen from 15.0M to 10.0M in week.The increase of monthly and weekly visitors could be due to the beginning of policy and the fall of policy news around the internet, but the point is on daily visitors, its very much possible users came to remove their photos and deleted their connection altogether with instagram, thus increased the visitors.
“This concludes the reason to believe pay them for their stuff or don’t sell at all”.
